Fulvio Bonavia is an award-winning advertising and editorial photographer known for his uniquely inventive imagery. His work has appeared in campaigns for everything from soft drinks and airlines to department stores, sportswear, and mobile phones. A master of CGI, Fulvio has also worked on high-concept car campaigns for Jaguar, BMW, Alfa Romeo, Audi, Volkswagen, Honda, Jeep, and Toyota, among others.

Fulvio’s images marry flawless technique with wildly creative concepts. He has created re-created sports gear using green olives for a banking campaign; used food items to make gorgeous haute couture apparel inspired by designers such as Alexander McQueen and Prada; and crafted jewelry, accessories, handbags, and shoes out of edible elements for his book A Matter of Taste. In 2017, Vogue Accessory commissioned him to shoot a portfolio of fashion accessories that referenced cultural events all across the globe.

Born in Italy and based in Milan, Fulvio started out as a graphic designer and illustrator of film posters, and his eye for sophisticated design shines through in his photographs. His work has been honored by Communication Arts, PDN, the Italian Art Directors Club, and the IPA, among others, and Luerzer’s Archive. He has also been named a Photographer of the Year by the Mobius Awards. In 2016, he won first place in the Fine Art category at the Lucie Awards for his evocative personal project “Flora,” which combined exotic plants and colored liquids photographed under water.
